3 June 08For the first time in over six years we have almost full storage in the on site dams at this south side course. With no access to either treated effluent or bore water we have relied only on stored run off which has lead to some very close calls during the recent Sydney drought.
Every one in Sydney would be well aware of how wet this summer has been and while this has had a negative impact on green fees it’s been great for us greenkeepers.
Course superintendent Adam O’Brien and the crew can at least rest a little easier now that they have sufficient water resources now for the next summer.
