This system has been designed for easy use by either golf club managers or club officials to implement accepted operating procedures in relation to monitoring and improving productivity of ground staff, improving quality control and achieving financial accountability.

Q. How does this system save us money?

A. In many cases golf courses are maintained up to 20% less efficiently than can be achieved, we have proven this many times right around the country. By being trained to use our proven productivity, quality and financial control systems and receiving comprehensive backup to make it happen you can fast track sustainable cost savings and improved efficiencies for your course maintenance operation.

Q. What is Resorts Assist and what does it achieve?

A. Resorts Assist is best described as a Management System, specifically designed for golf clubs to achieve major improvements to your course maintenance. It brings together standard business operating systems in the areas of productivity, quality control and financial control standard in most other industries in a way that makes sense for a golf club.

It is designed to be used by either the club manager or a senior club official and takes around two hours per week of input from the club. As a requirement of the system all ground staff are required to fill out very simple time and duties recorders and also to participate in a regular course presentation assessment. The club receives written reports from us on overall progress of the program and there are regular scheduled one on one onsite consultations and training from your Assist consultant.

Q. What makes this system work?

A. The ingredient that makes this management system work is that everything in this system, from the documents and recorders, to the training and support systems, has been designed by industry experts with decades of experience in how to best supervise and monitor ground staff and how to maximize productivity and quality control. With our systems and backup in place at your club the workplace dynamic changes from one where the maintenance crew knows that the club doesn’t really know or understand what’s happening out on the course to one where the club now has knowledge, systems and back up from us to bring about positive change. Once the maintenance crew comes to realize that the club is now empowered with this knowledge and backup this creates a very receptive environment for positive change.

Q. We have old machinery and staff that don’t want to work, how can this system change that?

A. Early on in the program a customized report is provided to the club including target expenditure, target staff numbers and recommendations regarding the equipment inventory. We know from experience that it’s not about having lots of machinery rather it’s all about having less of the right equipment. This report will also include financing options and even provide pathways to good quality second hand equipment. As far as the staff are concerned this system is not designed to be a big stick approach rather it assists ground staff to recognize that as the club is now serious enough about achieving positive change to put the Resorts Assist system into place they had best get with the program and work smarter. Also, the realization that the club has our backing in their efforts definitely creates a receptive environment for positive change.

Q. How much does this cost and how much can we expect to save

A. The Resorts Assist management system is designed to be effective and affordable for any size golf club. You’ll achieve a cost saving of up to 25% on your current course maintenance cost as well as an increase in revenue from having a better presented course. The system is customized for each client but costs around 3% of the course maintenance budget – a small amount when you consider how much will be saved each year with this system.
